I’ve established I love to write, and I feel myself a poet, and that’s what I want to do for my life. Naturally, I’d have to bring an emotion into this litany of things I’m a fan of.
So… my emotion is love.
And there are tons of quotes about love. From “Love is a many splendored thing” to “All you need is love” to a Whitman verse…
But I think a large part of the problem across the world is that people have all this range of emotion, and I don’t think there’s enough love in the world.
What’s the harm in telling people I love you? It doesn’t have to be some kind of overblown fancy frou frou thing of “ZOMG HE LUVS ME ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ <3". It can be simple. Love is simple, actually, on some levels. You love, or you don't. If you choose to love someone (or rather, it's revealed) then there's nothing in the world that can change that. No outside influences, if you choose to realize that love exists and can exist and does exist, will change that love.
There are so many different kinds of love (more than I could ever get into in a blog post), and to tell you the truth I'm still wrapping my head around all this knowledge that I've been given recently in my life. I don't really get totally personal here a lot, mainly because I don't always feel the need to express my own personal thoughts on a blog post to people I don't know. That's not meant to be offensive, but private sometimes just needs to be private.
But I'm here to tell you – if you love someone? tell them. It hurts no one – no, really. If it is, in fact, true (and -never- say it if you don't believe it), then it hurts no one. Even if people think it hurts them, it does not. Hurt. Anyone. Now, you might need to do some heavy duty explaining, but in reality, it can only make things better. The more truthfulness is out there, the more people love each other, the more we can work towards, as a human race, understanding, knowledge, wisdom, and evolution of our species.
You couldn't have made me believe this a few months ago.
But.. as is wont to occur… sometimes, things happen when you least expect them.
