Ever since I was little I wanted to be an astronaut. I still do, but I think my terrible motion sickness would be more of a liability than an asset in zero-gravity.
However, I love the night sky. I love not knowing what’s out there. I love thinking that me, this little person on a great big planet in an even bigger galaxy in a universe that reaches out to forever is able to live and breathe.
A large part of this is having one of, if not THE, best space museum in the world about an hour away in the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center. If you live in Kansas and have never been to it? No excuse. GO NOW. If you wondered what to do in Kansas? GO NO FURTHER. GO HERE. It’s absolutely amazing. If you ever thought “Hey, I want to donate to a neat place” – please, donate here. Please. I make sure I re-up my membership every year.
Also, if they offered me a job, I’d accept it faster than anyone’s ever accepted a job before. It’d be a dream to work there. (sigh)
Space is such a miracle. I hope we in the US and around the world realizes it and starts going to explore it – soon.
I’d like to touch a moon rock before I die.
Or the moon.
