For those who are not aware (most people), I will be the featured author on The3six5 blog on Wednesday the 30th. Plans changed after a small scheduling thing.
This is a big deal for me, because I really like the project. I’m lucky to be a part of it. I’ve had my entry written for a couple weeks now – my idea was to have several written, and post all the ones here that were rejects up to the big day.
Truth be told, I wrote this one, and spent so much time on it, that I fell in love with it, and it’s the one I’ll use. It seems rather strange, because it isn’t really anything special, or mindblowing, or deep. It’s literally “Hey, I woke up this morning and this is exactly what went through my head”, which I really think is the heart of the project itself.
So. Just start tuning into the3six5 now, and on Wednesday, my post will be up along with everyone else’s, documenting my small day of history. It will also be reposted here shortly after.
But please – check out the project. It’s a really neat idea, and I hope someone else enjoys it as much as I have been.
Editorial note: I’ve been asked by the people that run the blog to say this: “We actually ask people not to prewrite their posts. I know some folks do, but we don’t want to encourage that. Was wondering if you could tweak your wp post so people/authors don’t think they should prewrite?”
To this I will say that I had already asked people that ran the blog about doing it and received no response, so this was the first I had gotten back about doing it. The reason I prewrote my blog post is quite simple: I’m doing 3 and a half weeks of homework in two weeks and this is one of those two weeks. However, if I get time, I’ll write up a new one since my date changed, otherwise it will be my old one. Chances are no one except me would be able to tell. 🙂
