Vegas was a blast. Aside from the rude staff at the Aria, I can’t say there was anything bad about our trip at all. The Auto Collections show at the Imperial Palace was -AMAZING-. I literally took a picture of EVERY SINGLE CAR THERE.
only a few that I want. (Canhazshelbyreplicaplzplzplzplzplzplzplzplz P L Z). I feel terrible that I never got a chance to call my friend out there – my ankle being horrendously painful = taking longer to walk around + less energy. 😦
Tournament of Kings was just as awesome as the last time I saw it. I think between the car show and TOK those are two things I would personally say you DEFINITELY DO NOT NEED TO MISS in Vegas. Plus, Cars were free with the coupon they have printed on their site. (and you can’t beat free!) Dad got his picture taken with a wench, I got a picture of Mordred, along with a few things/people 🙂
In reality I took a ton of pictures all over, eventually I’ll post a link.
Went back to the hotel, packed most of what we could, and I enjoyed a last bath in that giant tub, and passed the F OUT.
Yesterday was somewhat uneventful – we left Vegas (checkout took all of 5 minutes), sat outside for an hour, caught the shuttle, checked in in 5 minutes for our flight, got through security in about that long, ate some pretty decent pizza, Dad got a book, I played DS, we got on the flight…
and had to sit in separate rows. 😦
But I got a window seat (Dad got aisle one row in front of me).
AND. I didn’t get sick. Mostly b/c of the Dramamine I believe. Usually I get sick. Horribly sick.
.. though most of the times I fly I am going to see Jeremy, and I have to admit that makes me plenty nervous. Not in a bad way. An anticipatory way. 🙂
But yes, the Dramamine helped a TON.
So we landed at 8, got our bags, and we hit a Subway in Olathe around 9. (I remembered the driving shortcuts to 35! huzzah!) We got home sometime between 11 and 12 – around Emporia we changed drivers because I was simply just too worn out.
My alarm went off at 7 today, and I said “yeah that’s not happening”. crashed for 15 minutes when I hear a “MEOW” *thump* and get woken up by a cat.
Got all spiffied up after a good shower, and headed in to start my new job.
it’s a real sales job. I have a desk and everything.
I actually have a lot of stuff I have to do, but I’m still in the hang of this blogging thing, so I wanted to take a few minutes and keep it up.
But now, a giant 3 ring binder of information awaits me. ._.
