Maybe I’ve known you for years. Maybe I’ve never met you, and you’re bored, trying to find something to read.
In any case, welcome.
Who am I?
I’m 33 years old and female. I currently live in Austin, TX, where I moved in early 2012. I lived in Kansas for the first 21 years of my life. I lived in Wilmington, NC from 2002-2006, Alexandria, VA 2006-2007, and in Maryland from 2007-2008. I then moved back to Kansas from 2008-2012.
I have an AA in English from Hutchinson Community College (2001). My intent is to get a BFA then MFA in Creative Writing. It took me a while to figure that out.
I have mostly worked retail jobs, but I have both volunteered and have been paid for marketing jobs on and off for the past 12 years. I’ve toured with countless bands, wracked up thousands of miles, and in my lifetime so far seen 44 of the 50 states.
I have 4 cats, all rescued. I miss you, Taj, Truman, and Nicholas.
I am passionate about many things. Among these include poetry, reading, writing, and the sport known as football everywhere else but America.
I have a wonderful son born May 24, 2013. He is a gift, a miracle, a surprise, and I am truly lucky. He came against all odds, was born early, and I’m sure from time to time there will be posts about him.
